Benefits of Gas CFC (Chloro Fluoro Carbon) For Humans - CFCs are compounds that contain carbon atoms with chlorine
and fluorine are tied to it. Two common CFCs are CFC-11(Trichloromonofluoromethane or Freon 11) and CFC-12 (dichlorodifluoromethane).
CFCs are substances that are not flammable and less toxic. A single molecule of
CFC has a life span of 50 to 100 years in the atmosphere.
Benefits of CFC gas (Cloro Fluoro Carbon), namely:
manufacture of plastic
In the current era, a lot of people's needs to be met, the
goods needed by society today many who use CFCs. Most of them use a CFC in a
way that so much. Over the years, the chemical compounds are widely used for
air conditioning (AC), a coolant in refrigerators (refrigerators), solvents,
materials thrust, and the process of making plastics.
Used in various industries
Additionally CFC is also widely used as a blowing agent in
the manufacture of foam (foam), a cleaning liquid (solvent), the active ingredient
for the fire department, the active ingredient for fumigation in warehousing,
pre-shipment, and products of agriculture and forestry. Alias CFC
Chlorofluorocarbons are organic compounds containing carbon, chlorine and
fluorine, produced as a derivative of methane and ethane. CFC is also commonly
known by the trade name Freon. The most commonly found are
dichlorodifluoromethane (R-12 or Freon-12). CFC lot has been widely used as
refrigerants, propellants (in aerosol sprays), and solvents.

Safe in use
CFC chemical properties generally low toxicity (non-toxic),
low reactivity (difficult to react) and non-flammable. In summary CFC was very
stable even safe to breathe, because it CFCs are widely used because of
stability that is considered "safe" is. But this raises another
problem. Because of the instability of CFC CFC was so difficult to decompose.
Compared to other gases that can damage the ozone CFCs are very stable, if
other compounds that rises into the atmosphere decomposes as it reacts in the troposphere.
CFC due to the stability of compounds can rise to the ozone layer and react
with ozone. This is the main cause of CFCs into compounds that are considered
hazardous.
Impact and Countermeasures Gas CFC
CFC can damage the ozone layer. At high atmospheric layer,
the C-Cl bond will be cut to produce free radicals chlorine. These radicals
that destroy ozone. CFC has now been replaced by compounds which are more
environmentally friendly.
CFC can also cause global warming.
single molecule of
CFC-11, for example, has a global warming potential approximately 5,000 times
bigger than a molecule of carbon dioxide. In Indonesia, the manifestation of
global warming, among other things, the disruption of hydro-orologis cycle
which has damaged most of Water Resources (SDA) in Indonesia.
If the earth continues to heat up, in 2050 there will be a
shortage of fresh water, so that famine will spread on this earth. The air will
be very hot, millions of people fighting over water and food. Breath disturbed
by smoke and dust. The houses in the coastal submerged in sea water. Sea water
flood increasingly widespread, so that eventually engulf the entire island.
Possessions will disappear, so does human life.
Even so, still use CFCs will not be easily separated away
from human life. Elimination of the use of CFCs in Indonesian, does not seem
easy to do. Especially since refrigeration tools that exist today, such as
refrigerators and air conditioners, the majority still use CFC-based
technology. In anticipation of the excessive use of CFCs, has found a way
considered to be very helpful. Namely recycling CFC and look for alternative
materials.
